A Topic for Your Next E-Book Bestseller

Many new website owners have the dream to become an e-book millionaire They want to set up a website where all the work is done online and you sit back and watch the money roll in. You can become an ebook millionaire, but you need to decide the right topic for your upcoming ebook.

Lets use an example. Pretend you have a great idea for an e-book, one entitled Top Ten Tricks for Barbecue Success.

What is the first thing you need to do?

First, you need to see if theres a market for barbecue tips. Go online and do some keyword research. These results show how much interest there is in your topic. I like to start with Wordtracker, free software available online. Using Wordtracker, you can check how many people are using each keyword, and the number of websites which compete for that keyword phrase.

Remember the search engines rank each web page for specific keyword phrases. You want to find out a popular topic that doesn’t have a huge amount of competition. Some competition is good because it tells you others are making money in that niche.

Use Wordtracker to research keywords and keyword phrases. This will help you identify popular keywords and related phrases. Use your imagination to come up with variations, and try them with the software.

Wordtracker is helpful to uncover different combinations of keywords. With a bit more research, you can determine which keywords are popular, with few webpages competing for clients.

When you determine that there is a strong demand for an ebook, you can start choosing the best topics to include in our ebook. You want to look for keywords that have relatively few competing pages so that we wont be dead in the water before you even start. This will help you set up chapters in your ebook. Then you can begin writing the e-book.
