They Only Kill Their Masters: Incredible cast in difficult modem-night whodunit set in coastal California town; tries for Daniel Hammett sensation, doesn’t relatively make it. Cop Garner tries to solve slaughter of pregnant female, with formidable Doberman pinscher computing prominently. Not poor, however a disappointment.
